Enrollment in the first-year program is open to all students holding a high school diploma or equivalent and who have the desire, commitment and passion for the work. An interview with the Artistic Director is necessary before you can be accepted into the program.

Up to twenty (20) students will be admitted into the first year program. Students who successfully complete the first year program and receive positive evaluations from their core teachers are invited to audition for the second year program. Up to twelve people will be accepted into the second year program.

Application Procedures:

1. Complete the application form. Priority will be given to applications received by April 1. Early application is encouraged.

2. Submit a nonrefundable, nonwaivable application fee in the form of a cashier check or money order payable to Portland Actors Conservatory in the amount of $25.00.

3. Provide a current resume listing previous experience and a letter of intent.

4. Provide an official transcript or proof of high school graduation or equivalent.

5. Provide two letters of recommendation that speak to your desire, professionalism, and prospects for success in a rigorous conservatory program.

6. Complete an interview with senior faculty member of PAC, either in person or by telephone. Schedule an interview here.

Upon receipt of the above materials and completion of the interview, the Office of the Registrar will notify you of the selection decision regarding your application. The Registrar will be in contact throughout the application processing as admission selections are made.

Tuition and Fees:

Tuition for the 2011-2012 academic year is $10,500. Students are required to pay a $150 enrollment fee with the letter of acceptance and a $100 fee for supplies with the first tuition payment. Total cost for the two year program, including all tuition and fees, is $21,525. Tuition and fees are due at the beginning of each semester. Late payments (not paid by the first day of the semester) will be assessed a late fee of $50.
