paclab
a space to work at Portland Actors Conservatory
a program under Community Service Initiative, AccessPAC
PAC LAB is a low-cost self-production program that serves emerging independent theatre artists, theatre companies and groups by offering affordable rehearsal and performance space for theatremakers to develop and show their work in various stages of development.
The PAC LAB program is in its second year, after completing a successful pilot program in 2011.

Selected participants in the PAC LAB program will be provided with a total of 40 rehearsal hours (including one day of technical rehearsal), and two scheduled performances in the theatre over the course of a four week period. A technical orientation with a designated representative of participant’s choice is also provided. Total fees to be paid by the artist, if accepted for PAC LAB, are $250. This includes the above support, as well as $30 in parking passes. The complete PAC LAB package is valued at $850 at market rate.
The intent of PAC LAB is to allow theatre practitioners time and space to dedicate to the development of a work. Lighting and sound cues should be kept minimal, as time for technical rehearsal is limited. Set pieces may not be stored at PAC during the residency, but limited space for prop storage is available.
Interested candidates should submit a letter of intent, bio/resume or company history, and minimal documentation of performance history (photographic stills only, please, no VHS or DVDs).
Completed applications can be submitted to paclab@actorsconservatory.com.
Please make sure your letter of intent contains the following information:
