Acting Audition Intensive for Teens Planning to pursue performance? You’ll need to develop excellent audition skills to get the role. This course is designed to build a powerful audition presence while giving students the tools necessary to compete for roles at school, in the community or in a professional setting. You’ll develop audition monologues and learn how to make strong cold reading choices for theatre or film auditions. The class will culminate in a showcase of student work. June 21-25, 10am to 4pm

Musical Theatre Bootcamp for Teens The Musical Theatre Bootcamp focuses on vocal production, phrasing, rhythm and interpretation. You’ll learn how to use your whole body as an instrument in singing performance, as well as how to work with live accompaniment. The class culminates in a presentation of solo and ensemble numbers from the classic musical theater canon. June 28-July 2, 10am to 4pm

Michelle Kopper Seymour combines 25 years as a professional actor/singer in Portland and New York City with over a decade of yoga and dance meditation to bring unique insight to her classes and workshops.

As a certified teacher of both Rasa Yoga and The Nia Technique, breath, movement and sound are an integral part of all her work. Kopper Seymour also teaches the Summer Teen Musical Intensive at Portland Center Stage and serves as the President of the Portland Area Theatre Alliance.

As a recording artist, Kopper’s pop/rock songs reflect rich jazz, blues and gospel influences, and have been compared to Bonnie Raitt and Rickee Lee Jones.
