Portland Actors Conservatory :: Summer on Stage

Summer on Stage sessions will be held in July and August of 2008. Session I runs from July 9th-25th and session II runs from July 30th-August 15th. No audition is required for this program. Students age 8 to 18 receive hands-on training in all aspects of the craft of acting. Each session provides an in-depth exploration of the fun and fundamentals of acting, the use of the imagination, and the utilization of the professional rehearsal process, culminating in a professionally-staged production in our own theatre.

Morning Section 9:30 - Noon (Acting Development)
Offers the student a comprehensive journey into the world of acting. Students receive training in acting, voice, movement, scene study, character development, and improvisation.

Afternoon Section 1:00 - 4:00 (On Stage)
Offers concentrated study in acting techniques, character development, and the rehearsal process. This program culminates in a final, fully-staged showcase held at 4:00 p.m. on the last day of each session.

Students may enroll in both the morning and afternoon sessions ($425/ tuition cost), or the morning session only($275/ tuition cost). However, the morning-only students do not participate in the final showcase.
